Self is the foundation

When we start focusing on health, in most cases we begin by looking outside ourselves.

* What do we want?
* What do we subscribe to?
* What are we seeking?
* Who are we seeking it from?
* What are we resisting?

Disconnection, disconnection and more disconnection, All of these things pull us away from ourselves. They are coming from a place of "lack".


When we start with knowing ourselves, our lives and our values we are likely to experience less resistance and greater success.


At it's root a journey of health is meant to enhance our current lives and bodies. Therefore it stands to reason that unless we take time to connect to our truth, our life, our values and get honest what the hell are we doing?


When we climb a ladder, do we start from the 3rd or 4th rung? Of course not we start from the 1st.

When we build a house do we set the drywall before we lay the foundation? I hope not.


I would like to offer you a different path, this one starts with knowing you first. Get honest about all of your stuff before trying to enhance it.


Maybe take a few days and explore. Ask yourself some questions.

* What are your assets that you want to build on.
* What are your values?
* How would you describe your lifestyle?
* What is your ideal day?
* What part of you feels like it could use a little attention? START THERE.

The part that needs you could be time management or stress management. Address those things FIRST. In most cases we already have the answers.


If what I just suggested feels overwhelming instead of asking yourself anything, try observing your day to day. You may reveal some of your answers or your starting point that way.
